Most of the people defending this dodgy event seem to be missing the point. Let's get things straight, none of you went to the last one. There wasn't a last one because THIS ISN'T A LOVE PARADE and has absolutely nothing to do with the real Leeds Love Parade of 2000 or any of the other genuine Love Parades that have taken place around the world. It's basically the equivalent of someone putting a night on at their local pub, calling it Fabric and charging 30 quid to get in. I'm amazed that they're apparantley going to get away with it. If it was just called something like Leeds Dance Fest 2005 then I might actually go, but there's absolutely no way I can support this extremely dubious event.

from website:
A little point of warning though clubbers, although this event is called the Leeds Love Parade, it is not the same as the Leeds Love Parade that was held in 2001.The previous almost Berlin style Leeds Love Parade was quashed after just one year. The non-ticketed event caused concern among local residents due to crowd/ drug problems. Although this year's event is a totally different party, it is the only scheduled dance music mini-festival in West Yorkshire this summer.

I went to that
had a picture somewhere but think it maybe on my old hard drive.
It was proper mad! now that was close to the Real love parade in Berlin, and i agree 10.000 people who had paid is NOT a REAL love parade. Think there where reports of 125,000 t0 250,000 when i went. Different figures all over the place!
