Set myself 2, what i thought to be very easy, tasks for the day; put in one of my sidewinders and fit my speedlines.

Started with the sidewinder, after much farting about i got the old seat out and the new one on the subframe and in. Got the first bolt nearest to the door done and then went to do the other by the gearstick, but i cant get to it Heres a pic of it as far forward as possible

and heres a the bolt in question, i dont no why you need to see it.

Then i started in the speedlines, there on ok, but i cant get the covers on
On the front these things(im very techincal) stick out too far, think its because of the 2 litre

And even on the back the thingy here still gets in the way, and thats as standard as possible You can see where its puched against this, so it is definately this

What the fuck is going on, everything designed for corsas, not universal, y cant i do anything! Please help

the dirve shafts stick out too much. also take the seat out and slide the frame back as far as it will go, you will find its twister on the frame.

Should be able to take the seat off the subframe (4 bolts?), then mount the subframe, then the seat to it. Its a ballache, but about the only way you'll do it if you cant get to the hole any other way.

As for the hubs, think you have to take a hacksaw to the ends of the thread to shorten them so they fit on the front, and pull the centre caps of the hubs on the back, and get loads of grease on them .

You finished uni now dude? Not seen your car about for a while .

Can imagine it being a real ball ache yes . maybe try removing the rear bolts, and loosening the front ones to give you more access?

Yeah, not been about much. Had revision week, then had one exam then a fortnight gap which was cool... except i then had about 7 exams in 10 days, including saturday . Last one tomorrow though, and as you can see im revising hard for it .

Flat blade screw driver should flip it out. Its the cover that holds the rear bearing and brake drum in place. basically theres a split pin holding the nut in place underneath it. Grease it up so that the moisture doesnt get at the thread and rust it, meaning you cant change your bearings or rear brake shoes again wihtout much bashing and swearing .
