Can you still get done even if your not pulled over ?

I was doing about 80 (might be just a bit under) and some guy on other dual carriage way was flashing like a good one so i kinda slowed down alot more and then noticed a policeman in the layby with a hand held gun (on his own) leaning on his car getting the cars

Would this be for speeding or could it be for something like tax etc ?

Reckon ive been done ?

Yep they take a speed reading then your plate and you'll receive a letter through the post

we have completely white vans with 2 windows at the back and no indication theyre camera vans whatsoever

Who is we??? Do you work for safety partnership or something?? Camera Vans are always marked, Unmarked vans are VOSN vans checking Tax / Mot etc also think they are linked to a registered keeper database to see if the drive is wanted or banned.

I got away with doing 85 in the C3 Speedo must be well out Fucking camera van was parked up and it was too late by the time i seen it

Vans are only painted if the force has decided that its about road safety and therefore you should be able to see them. There's no legal requirement to paint the vans.
