anyone else end up leaving theres on all the time and ending up with a flat battery?

Yes but My Alarm used to go off when the battery was about to die there was always just enough Juice in it to start it

leave it on over night by mistake most times Usually if you need to look for something, then you open the door and forget about the light.
the electric starter kit is in the passenger seat as we speak.
