Why don`t you just use the standard rear lights? They`re pretty much red anyway, then you won`t have to worry about getting pulled over by the police

Are you doing them the same colour as the car using car paint, or the red tint spray stuff?

why do people think it is acceptable to break the law when it comes to cars. you put these lights, neons, doggy plates on the car knowing full well they are illegal and then you moan about the police for doing their job when they give you a fine

the light isnt illegal if it doesnt have a reflector, light clusters do not have 2 have a reflector. however the car has 2 have a reflector if the car doesnt have a reflector it is illegal....

Take for example the Ford Focus, the reflector isnt in the light cluster, as long as the car has reflectors it is ok,

u cud tuck one up in the top of the rear window in each corner

As mentioned by marv

The reason the lights are illegal is the reflectors are not red.

If you are sprying the whole cluster red. Then they will be legal as they will be red.

Scotty brum did a similar thing if u do a search it will bring up pix of his car and you can see then.
