that huf haus was very nice. but bit over 400k and it only had two bedrooms

1bed apartments in the area i live in are 180k

its when your house has character and style, people will pay more.

the houses we do sell for a lot more than similar sized ones, simply as people will pay more.

just like paying for a ferrari when you could have a noble

I'm looking at moving out with the gf by the end of this year with a bit of luck.

Would only be renting at first though because we might end up hating each other

Renting is dead money!

Stay at home and put the money you would be using for renting into an ISA or a high intrest account and use it as a deposit.

no I need to move out.

I don't want to get a mortgage and end up not actually liking living with my girlfriend.

That way if we rent we can 'test it out' a bit. Plus we can still save up a deposit

we live on a farm with about 6 acres, me and richie arent even allowed to build our own log cabin because we are on a green belt even thou his dad owns the land!


How would we go about finding out if the land is protected or not?

Is there any old or derelict barns on the site as you may be able to develop so long as it is in the existing footprint of a building, there are some loop holes in developing green belt sites, might be worth looking into
