Why don't football teams just play with 11 players on the 6 yard line and not move?

That way you draw every game and get 38 points which this season was enough to stay up.

I might submit my plan to Joe Royle next season

Probably because you'd lose all of your supporters, stop making money on season tickets, merchandise etc and go bankrupt

Players wouldnt want to play for you, etc etc

Yeh but you could just buy 11 Really fat, 7 foot tall players - pay em in donuts.

Just get them to block the goal with a tray of donuts inside of the goal. Genius ... Absolutely genius.

And you could imagine it - soon every team would copy ... and it'd just be a load of fat guys standing at each end blocking the goal. The ball left in the middle guided only by the wind.

Now that's entertainment.
