kinda true this, mine crashes about once every 3months or so - but tbh, take the battery out/in and switch the phone back on problem solved 
good phones, well my 6600 is, but it takes an age to start up (a good minute atleast), even after doing all of the tweaking tips etc. But like someone has said, loads of toys and software you can get for symbian phones

What firmware you got mate, later versions make it a little quicker.

is there a site that states the changes between versions for the 6600? and where can i get a reflash from and how muchos?
