they should be mate - im 40mm with 17's with a 40 offset i think . and i slightly rub due to shit tyre;s

its all down to offset.... not the drop that is an issue yes but overall offset determines it

duno got from wheel base in max i told them think offset is 49 and they fit perfect there toyo proxies

had 40mm on 17's in et45 with only slight rubbong on one rear wheels arch.
also had 40 mm on 16" et45 and 16" et49 wheels with no rubbing

60mm no problem, ive dun it, though if you live in the country with un even roads beware of the rear arches hitting the wheels if you go over bumps quickly with just you in the car!
