Are Corrados that rare? Or are we just talking about the Storm version?

There are loads of Corrados around here.

handling and driveability is meant to be really good, as is braking

storm was same as the vr6, but had leather interior, disc changer, colour-coded grill and a few badges, paying for the name really.

been to local garage on way home, to pay for tyres and spoke to bloke in there about it, as i knew he has a vr6.

and its turns out he might sell it to me, no chance of it being snapped up as its not advertised.

its a VR6, not a storm, but has leather recaros, he said when looking for his he looked at some storms and some G60's, but liked this one has it has all the extras.

it has 120,000miles on it, but he is a mature guy, been a mechanic all his life, and owned the corrado about 7 years, so is looked after, plus he could fix it if i break it

he not got a price, said i'd let him think about it and pop back. he not really been serious about selling it until now.

have seen it around quite often but it wasn't there today, he has a yellow reanult spider thing too, not 100% sure what that is, looks crazy

its an ex-demo model, got full leather (apparantely better than storm stuff)
is a dark colour from what i remember, green or blue, maybe black

Corrados are ALL 2.9, Golfs were 2.8. Its one of the best handling fwd cars going.
There were 500 storms, 250 in mystic blue, 250 in Green Pearl. 10 of each colour were auto. All came with leather as standard which is an option on VR6's. The only option on a storm is air con.
You may find that the 'strom' badge on the back is in a slightly different place on some cars as they were stuck on by the dealers!!

UK and Euro VR6 engines should have the ABV engine code which is the 2.9 litre engine. Golfs and USA VR6's (SLC for USA Corrado) are fitted with 2.8 litre versions
