Why does it take people so long to admit they have done something?

One of the users on our network deleted loads of files 'by mistake'

It took him a week and a half to tell us he had done it (network admin and support)

He said he did an 'undo' and it would be ok.

They he checked in his recycle bin and because they werent in there he thought they were back in their original place.

If you delete something from some where on a network its not going to go in your recycle bin.

So a week and a half later he tells us hes deleted some files. He doenst know what they were or where they were located!

And now he keeps asking us if we have put tem back yet

You try looking for files on DLT tapes when you dont have a clue what your looking for!

I'm in the middle of a support call. The bloddy women can't even download an attachement from an email

She is pissing me off

I have got the great task in trying to tell her to extract the files from a zip file.

I hate talking to these useless people
