I need to send my block away for reboring. The cost in terms of time and petrol means it's not worth taking it down myself. Can someone recommend a decent next day carrier that won't charge the earth because I don't have an account with them?

Hi Brad - been busy doing other stuff and working away. I've got new pistons, new valve springs, new cams, new valves, replacement head (nicely ported). All I need is a block to bolt everything to, then will be up and running...

I'll try night freight - see what they say

Cheers Adam and Corsa808. If it's anything near £50, I think I'll drive it down to Stoke

Will they collect from Cumbria Stoney (still here, not in Aberdeen)?

It'll look pretty similar when completed as most of the changes are internal. I'll be happy with 215-220bhp, but more importantly I'm rebuilding it to a much more robust spec. Swindon Racing used the same spec on their group A Vaux rally engines and got 204bhp with a single inlet throttle body, so with multiple throttle bodies, hoping for a wee bit more

Andy, this is a little off topic but here goes.

Did you used to have a rear strut brace in your car that you sold to a guy in Sheffield?

I've now bought it off him but I just can't figure out where it fits

Do you have any pics of it fitted to your car?
