if it happens with the engine on only then its usually alternator/coil interference.

What engine u got?

In my experience to get rid of it totally you need to redo the grounds on the coil and alternator.

A ground loop isolater on the supply to the dvd player may help.

Two options.

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/304.html

or

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/2917.html

Both will do the same job.

I suggest trying bare points first tho. I mean cutting off the cig lighter end and wiring directly

I've wired it directly and it's a lot better but still a bit of noise. I'll probably get one of those to try and get rid completely. cheers
