At The Same Time It Would Hit The Entire Industry With A Net Loss Of Over 4.6 Billion Pounds Which Affects The Bottom Lines Of The Oil Companies.
Therefore May 19th Has Been Formally Declared "stick It Up Their Behind "day And The People Of This Nation Should Not Buy A Single Drop Of Petrol That Day. The Only Way This Can Be Done Is If You Forward This E-mail To As Many People As You Can And As Quickly As You Can To Get The Word Out.
Waiting On This Government To Step In And Control The Prices Is Not Going To Happen. What Happened To The Reduction And Control In Prices That The Arab Nations Promised A Fortnight Ago?
Remember One Thing, Not Only Is The Price Of Petrol Going Up But At The Same Time Airlines Are Forced To Raise Their Prices, Trucking Companies Are Forced To Raise Their Prices Which Effects Prices On Everything That Is Shipped. Things Like Food, Clothing, Building Materials, Medical Supplies Etc.

Not going to bother with that - a better plan would be for EVERYONE to buy petrol on one day.
That way, all the forecourts would be jammed leading to tailbacks onto the road.
Anyone seeing the queues would assume there's another petrol crisis, which would lead to more mass hysteria and panic, causing more people to try and find a petrol station.
The problem won't be solved by affecting the revenue of the petrol stations - they'll make the sale a day early or a day later - it doesn't matter to them.

Sounds like just another chain email to me - I can't see how it will make the 'oil companies' crumble onto their knees just because everyone gets fuel on a certain day - it just means that the other days will be quieter, but everyone will still use the same amount of fuel, at the end of the week, the fuel stations will still have the same levels in their tanks.
the only way to stop it is for the truckers to block the fuel depots - but apparently the army already has its fuel trucks on standby - and who's gonna mess with them?!

Im all for cheaper fuel....will never happen tho!! Some of you lot need to own a jap 4x4 turbo car for a wee while...then you would really have something to moan about

In my opinion it's not the oil companies fault! it's our government for taxing the shit out of it!
In america they pay like $1 a gallon!
Over here we pay £5 (almost $10) a gallon!
A joke because about 85% is tax.

When there is a fuel crisis yorkshire NHS give my dad a little card saying his is a key person sort of thing an is allowed to get fuel.
