Has Glazer gone on record saying he will increase ticket prices?
I'm really not getting this situtation.
Why are people annoyed at this takeover? Whats the low down? Also I want facts not what people think may happen.

As far as I know he hasn't. said he'll raise ticket prices.
What the fans are opposed to is the amount of debt he will get the club into. At the moment the squad and the stadium has been bought with money we earned not borrowed. So we go from being in the black to at least £300 million in debt. Also this man has no interest in football he sees our club as a big $ sign.
Fair play to the fans outside o.t burning pics of him etc wish i could be there

I'm still not convinced. It all seems like guess work so far. But i'm not a United fan so don't really know the situation properly.

Robbo here:
Man Utd are getting payback for being plc - simple as
I do not, however, agree with it as he will tear the club to sheds but like I say, they made a hatful from being a plc now they can live with it

Yes, he will more than likely raise prices, when he bought the Bucs he raised prices to $100 per GAME

He now has 62% :S IMO he won't get to 75% though because too many fans make up the '33% other' shares... (ie not held by an individual) but it really doesn't matter - he has effective control because he can just outvote everyone... good lucking spending money in the summer - he will have to approve it all

That news has made my day. Sky Sports news saying that man u fans are goining to old trafford to burn their season tickets, ticket renwal forms and their shirts!! The tw*ts. They support the most commercial club in the world and complain when a business man wants to take them over. I dont know about him but he is probably a right di*khead. He has found the right club. I hope he ruins the ba*tards. It couldnt happen to a nicer club with a nicer set of fans. I hope they all rot in hell.
An Irish bloke was outside the club super-megastore saying it was a disgrace as "the club belongs to the people of Manchester". And London, Ireland, Wales, Malaysia ...
I have always hated man u and their followers, but at the FA Cup semi final it just confirmed their position as the lowest of the low among football fans. Now they are going to botcott their club that they"love" just because some bloke is taking charge upstairs. They are that full of it that they think they will make a difference. Their true colours are starting to show, but we knew that already.
I hate the c*nts. One Malcom Glazier, Theres only one Malcom Glazier ....!!

Sour grapes per chance? At the end of the day I have been a Man u fan since I was 7 and I have never seen a worse move for the club. As for having fans around the world how is this a bad thing? Whenever people want to knock united they always go on about the fans not coming from manchester. They still watch the games and share all the emotions that happen on the pitch. I will never stop supporting United but why shouldn't our fans have a say in what goes on at the top? If you really believe what you say then fair enough thats your opinion but I can't help thinking that it is a sad day for football in general

No sour grapes at all. I wouldnt want a club made up with the majority of fans that dont live anywhere near Manchester. You location says bath/bristol but yet you support Man U. Were you born in Manchester and moved to Bath/Bristol? If not why dont you support a local team??

No I was born near bristol. Manchester United were the team that got me interested in football thats why I support them. It started the season we lost the division 1 title to Leeds I watched Man U play (and lose to) Leeds on tele I chose to support them that day and have done ever since.

I was born in Reading, I live in Reading (for my sins) and support Ipswich, but I am such a passionate fan I go to the games whenever I have the time this does not make me any less a Ipswich supporter.
I don't like Man Utd, but they don't deserve this at all, fcuking American Jew. I could'nt think of anything worse.

agree with Ojc, I'm an Arsenal fan and when Man Utd were winning things left right and centre I was actually pleased for them. Even to the point of cheering them on in the champions league final against munich.
No way they deserve this. Fucking americans

erm yes. I don't like seeing Americans buying into things over here. Especially when it's for selfish reasons and they don't give a flying fuck about supporters.
