Im considering getting a Corsa B run around for myself right now they are very cheap atm like £800 or so for a diesel
anyways i have no idea what the handling is like as standard but im sure it cant be to hot, i have a few concerns as follows
1. I want to strip it out leaving the dash, front door cards and a seat of GSI seats or possibly bucket. i would fit a set of blistein uprated shocks prob the street kit as i have fitted to my astra and am very happy with only prob is im wondering would i need to go for -40mm front and -60mm back? dont care about looks much more about handling
2. once lowered to the required level i take it there would be no issues with scrubbing with 15/195/50's on the correctly offseted vauxhall alloys
3. I have heard about the poor engine mounts that are known to be a fault with 1.5td nova's was this still a problem on corsa B's?
4. if the car was to stripped out as i plan what can i do to cover the bare metal floor in way of carpet, i have seen peoples been covered was this just them custom cutting/ fitting a piece of carpet in there.
5. 256mm front brakes i take it are more then powerful enough to stop a light weight diesel?
6. Lastly how hard would it be to mount an intercooler or would it be easier to get a cav isuzu rad complete with intercooler and just mount that in there?
at the end of the day im aiming for a cheap to run and repair car that will help me build up my no claims this would only cost me £600 fully comp for a year considering i havent got any no claim thats pretty good, the quote was from Elephant.co.uk over £500 cheaper then that quote me happy rubbish thats constantly on the TV
