As long as you go up the knifes edge and not the Pyg (sp) trail then it is a lot of fun. The trail is just like walkign on a footpath to the top. the knifes edge is awesome as you ahve to climb bits. Thats the way I went was well scared as I was only about 15. Some nutter was walking right a long the top though with his dog and a can of Stella Must of been something wrong with him. Triffin's good aswell. A little less cold as it's not as high but fun all the same

Go up to the summit via Crib Goch (Knife edge ridge) - you're in for a wicked treat up there.

This is the weekend plan....

I've made the final arrangements with the Gallt-y-Glyn Hotel re the following:

I've booked a table for Friday evening. They have an Italian menu that day (lasagne, home made pizzas (inc. vegetarian). As a guide it costs £5 for a pizza and a pint and the max. amount for another one of the Friday meals would be £8. They finish serving at 9pm, so I've said that we'll be eating at the latest - 8.30.
I've also ordered our packed lunches (inc. one veg.) they cost £4.00 each. Do remember though to bring bottles of water.
Breakfast is from 7.30 - 9.
The bar is open from 6-11pm.
Checkout on the Sunday should be by 10.30.
If we want to take the bus on the Saturday morning up the Llanberis Pass, they run every half an hour (the car park for the Pyg track gets quite packed). We could then walk down the Llanberis path into town - but we can decide all this on Friday night.
Re an evening meal on Saturday, I told the hotel that we would probably eat elsewhere. Llanberis restaurants tend to get fairly well booked up - so perhaps we'll head for Caernarfon as we previously talked about?
