Got home last night - decided to do my weekly car check.
Oil
Water
etc....

Noticed i had a sidelight out and a foglight out - shot and got the bulbs from Halfords fitted them lovely....

Driving into Northampton town centre (20mph limit) Copper coming the other way.

"Can you turn your fog lights off please" Believe it or not it was a geniune mistake - i dont drive with them on but i forgot to turn them off

Turned them off then.........

My reply

"Did you know you had a main light out"

"Nope i checked it before i come out this evening"

"Well look on the back of the car in front - you only have one light shining on the rear of that vehicle"

I think it pi$$ed him off how nicely i told him - :lol@:

I had similar, was pulled for goin a bit quick, they let me off cos I wasn't bein a tool and it was early hours... as the guy pulled away I saw he had a tail light out, so flashed my lights, pulled the copper over and said "you know why I pulled you over? (just what he said to me earlier) then told him about the light and went on my way...

Don't think he was too pleased

tis true, the car has to pass a check everyday, if the car doesnt meet this daily check it cant be used for police business, friends dad is a seargent in the force told me, and also read it various places
