i have this Alpine head unit CDA-9851RB


I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn off the bass on the speakers?
I have 2 subs and i dont want any bass to come from my components now but i cant for the life of me find out how to turn the bass off

I have same problem with my new headunit anyone got any ideas

On the 9853R, hold Menu for about 2 seconds, slide accross the glidetouch bar until X OVER appears, then press the glidetouch bar under the X Over Option, then press band to go through the different ones. You need to use the MID and HIGH ones to cut the bass from your fronts.

cant you not just use the High pass filter on the headunit to the speakers? Just set it to the highest frequency! Unless you want to turn the bass off completly!

nope, just read this section now.
i will try it out later, if not at the weekend.
My sub stopped working yesterday so i'll sort that first.

not really richie.
it allows me to select between Rock-> Hall -> Flat etc
IVe selected flat which is the next closest, but its not that flat
