Hi

Unsure if this topic has been up on ere b4. I'm going to link 2 or 3 17" Flat screen monitors together, will cables just do this or do I need software?

I want it so they all have different parts of the screen up so i can move the mouse from one screen to another.

Any help, much appreciated!

lol, say u have at least 6-7 windows open at one time, as I animate, it is very useful to have windows open on each monitor so i can view different aspects and views of the different windows without minimising them or closing them

aye need two graphics cards or a dual head for two monitors - some cards support 3, but only usually with a tv out put etc.

If you want to pull off propper 3 or more screens, then i would opt for a matrox card. Can pick up quad head cards from ebay for around 100-150 quid (old models, but still decent stuff) - will have two sockets with a break out cable on each one.
However, the older matrox cards will be VGA. If you want DVI then its alot more money
