when i bought by 1.4 16v sport with the 16 inch alloys it wouldnt got over 109mph but after a week or so trying to get it past 109 it finally got upto 116mph. so you should be able to go faster than that

as soon as the car is not in line with factory spec, all figures are out the book.

If you lower the car you'll loose top speed.
If you add bigger wheels (dependign on gearing) you'll loose top speed and acceleration.

so it's anyones guess.

Put simpley the gap between the underisde of the car and the road is reduced.
This gap has fast moving air though the centre and the car body and tarmac cause a drag to the movement. But reducing the gap the restiction increases and increases the drag on the car.

Put in simple terms... 130mph+ in a Corsa = "We have lift off"....

Downforce created by narrowing gaps under a car are supposed to be penalty free, ie loads of downforce with no drag.. though maybe you average corsa couldnt be compared to an F! car.. =P
