Hi There, sorry to ask a common question but looking through search results noone suggests a price. I have a corsa sport 1.4 just coming up to 65k im doing about 20k a year and reckon I need to change the cam belt. Ive asked at the garage I use and they said it needs a "kit" and quoted ~ 120squid to change it and supply the kit. A fair price? Thoughts please

I think thats how much I paid for my 1.4, sounds like standard price mate

Seems like a lot to get it fitted. Mine was £15 for the belt or less for a 1.2 8v and didnt take too long to fit
i put a new water pump on at same time aswell as i was advicsed to and you might aswell while all timing gear is off

120 was fine the kit is about £80 you cant compare a cambelt job on an 8 valve to a 16 valve, the kit is dearer and its a more involved job!

go down to vauxhaul and i bet they will charge you alot more than 120 for a timing belt change....
