Hollidays in 4 months and gonna start going to the gym 3-4 times a week and some swimming and some running / biking etc.
I am 5,9 and 11stone, would like to lose some body fat and put on more muscle.
What protein shake do you recommend? maximuscle promax has had good reviews but i have read mixed opinions about them.
What shake do you lot use?
Also another question, how many times a day do you drink he protein shake? does it depend on how much your training or is there a set amount your body should take in a day?
Cheers

My mate trains quite a bit and he swears by the Promax shake however I've just started using Relflex Micro Whey with good results.
Here's a good site for supplements http://www.monstersupplements.com/index.htm

whey, and if you got some money left over, caseinated protein - good to take before bed and pre workout
in terms of brands, steer clear of maximuscle - overpriced and you dont get good value for money. look into the american brands, i recommend dymatize elite whey, or optimum nutrition whey - if you can find it!

if u want to tone and not build then u don't want anyform of protein/creatine or whey as they all increase muscle mass.... ure best suited to a mix of CV and lighter weights but more reps with a healthy diet and possibly some supliments i'd give www.maximuscle.com a visit, they're real good quality and be prepared to spend quite a bit if u wanna go into supliments - don't go cheap on it or u'll pay later it works out around £30-60 a month but for wat u want Munchie, u dont really need supliments just a good training regime and diet.

incorrect, clearly a diet does determine how much weight you put on - by your intake. telling him to steer clear of protein is ridiculous because that is one of the most fundamental nutrients when doing ANY kind of training.
