Does anybody know the maximum weight you should lift in the work place?

Tried google but, I can old find info about cranes and fork lifts.

25kg ? That's nothing. I'd imagine it'll be more like 50odd.

I did agency work unloading lorries, some of the things on there were 60kg or so, that was my weight at the time too !

What a shit job that was.

Yeah but this is government guidelines.

Plenty people can lift well over that weight.

If you could have a look at OPC bag, they are now 25kg I think.

What I mean is Cavey, that by law you should only lift this weight. We all know that every1 is capable of lifting more than this though.

bags of cement at werk are 25kg and one the back it says dont liftore thn one at a time

in The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 there is nothing about wieght, I don't think it is actually law... however most companies have made 25kg the polocy becasue they don't want you claiming on them!

25kg I believe. Then half the weight and add it on top if there are two people. So two people can lift 37.5kg between them. Or at least thats what I think it is. Some strange equation when your talking more than one person.
