They'll check them. Tell you they're fooked and charge you a riduculous price to get them fixed that day. If you do go, Stand by so you can see they're fooked/or not. Then take them to a mechanic you can trust and have it fixed

They do a brake check for £25, do u think thats worth doing?

I get annoyed when the public give me suggestions like....

1) You should put CDRWs in all your machines... (We do it's just you're too stupid to know how o do it)

2) You should network all your PC's... (They are! dick heads)

3) Don't do it like that, I did it this way at home!... (Did it work?... No?.. there you go cock face)

James where abouts is ATS? I think its the place I took mine for a free check. They are sound in there. They told me my breaks are fine and won't need replacing for at least another 6 months.

Burning smell and hot wheel doesn't sound good, my mate had this on his impreza it was the breaks seizing. Didn't cost much to sort out though just get it in asap otherwise your break disks may warp under extreme heat.

Have a look at the discs and pads check for noises etc. Feel the edge of the disc for any lips check for brake judder etc.

I would replace the discs and pads anyway it's a new car to you, you may aswell know what you're dealing with. It shouldn't cost too much, don't you know any mechanics?
