i have a 1.7D corsa. i usually race my mates, they have like 1.1's or 1.4's i can beat them for power, but i need to improve my take off. any tips?

Well come on, its not rocket science is it, theres not really any aids to get you better take off - plus, why are they trying to race in 1.1's for anyway

Drink some red bull before you play, rev the tits off your motor and drop your clutch when you need to.

we're only 17/18 .... first cars i need to know when to chnge it into second, early or late as poss?

You need to find out either when your turbo spins up or where your peak torque point in your rev range is and use that as a guide. Where to get that info im not sure, someone on here is bound to know.
