Well last week i was looking at buying a new car and someone local was selling a tidy Saxo in my price range. Never really liked Saxos but i thought this one was nice. Had a look at it a decided to buy it.

Would have loved to have kept my Corsa and done it up but needed something a little newer. Corsa is up for sale now if anyone is interested

Anyway i gave the new car a good clean and took some pics. Let me know what you think....

Before you say i know the sunstrip is a bit taccy and i ain't a fan of them

Tailgate appears to have had a respray. Apart from the sunstrip those rear light brow things and the alloys its good.

Yeah going to remove the sunstrip. The brows i don't mind to much. they have faded a bit and need spraying over again.

I paid around £3k for it with around 65k on the clock which i thought was ok.

Its quicker than my SRi. But thats cos its newer and the SRi was on 17s.

Thanks guys. The reason i got it was cos it looks clean. Not noticed the tailgate being a different colour though.

hehe keith, i cleaned it all up and wanted somewhere to take some pics. Couldn't think of anywhere so went to cheddar. All the car parks were full so i stopped in the same field i took the pics of my Corsa. Only thing is i nearly bottomed out trying to get on the grass

i like it mate i have liked saxos for a while, chassis is supposed to handle well isnt it? ive got an obsession at the mo of wanting to fit lightweight rims to a car, and getting it to handle well rather than tuning loads outta the engine...just some subtle engine upgrades sunstrip is acceptable, but lose the dimma cap eeeeew and get it caged n bucketed

LMAO vibrio. I do like your comments. I do realise this isn't the correct forum but thought people might be interested. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Yeah got it all cleaned up yeaterday Mat. Was going to do it saturday but i was hung over from friday at the union and it was raining.

I should have taken some pics of the install. Does look good.

Thanks Calidus. Yeah ain't to sure on the cap and i'd like some light weight alloys. But i'm a bit skint at the mo. Does handle well! Everything i have chucked it into it has stuck well and feels like it would go quicker through the twisties but i'm going steady with it. Was tempted to go out on the Castle Combe track day but they guys going round were nuts and were spinning off left right and centre

i reckon either some team dynamics monza in anthracite or some compomotives might suit it.

must admit been lookin at saxos latley a starting to consdier them as a next car but not sure really was consdiering a 106 gti till saw the insurance group lol for a 1.6 16v could get insurance on a fezzie zetec s cheaper

Just got home from work

Thanks for your opinions. Don't think i will touch anything on it apart from the sunstrip and possibly the alloys if i have the cash. bit of a bugger they don't make them anymore

Nath i do like the look of those Monzas but can't find any pics of the compomotives. I would have liked a VTS/GTi but insurance would have killed me

Must admit slammed on standard VTR and VTS alloys looks
