thats what i did on my old corsa, just cut the plastic slats out, cut the whole a bit bigger so they fit, then stick the crossovers inside the door with some dynamat extreme, its strong as fuck!

in the door handles, although if you have passengers, then maybe trying placing them in the pillars (at ear height).
Or if you have leccy mirrors, on the plate on the inside like on corsa c....could also try wacking them in the dash like on alot of cars (i think richie has done thing - i know someone did off here).
Most people say you should place them near the midrange on the door to even sound, but as soon as a passenger steps in its buggers that, more so than placing them in the tweeter bit on the handles.
but it all depends what your after - just play around and see what sounds best

yeah the cover on the inside of the mirrors another good option, not as easy as using the tweeter hole on the handle though
