i have taken the icv out one more time, sprayed some wd40 on the electrical connections as told, but it back in and its idling fine...
until i touch the throttle. i dont have a rev meter, but if i say rev to 2000 itll go back down as it should, but if i take it to say 3000 itll stay there revvin ridiculously

You sure your airflow meter is ok?
Also had problems with idle climbing high when it was really hot under the bonnet (non-enclosed induction kit)...

ive did a paper clip test when i had the em light as you cna read in the other thread, but that just told me about the icv, which i think now is ok
if the only way to test is to get a new one, how much and where from?
could it be anything else? i dont wanna get a new airflow meter if it doesnt do anything to help
