Tried the flour experiment before.

Sprinkle some flour in a shoe box, cut a tiny hole, shake the box, drop a match in.......Boom!

Not that dramatic really but it does work, not all the time however.

Any Form of fine power is usually explosive if you can get it airborne, even metals ive seen being ignited, if the particles are small enough.

Yes custard power is explosive, although like i say you usually need to get it airborne. Clarkson did it on his chatshow years back, but putting a large tin over a pile of custard powder with a pipe going into it underneath a lit candle. He blew into the pipe, which chucked up all the powder, and the flame then ignited it all, and BOOM, the tin flew up .

if you have a bunsen burner and a pipe full of custard powder...

blow really hard through the pipe towards the flame.. and WOOOSH you get a big ol fireball... burns really quick too, flour also works as Rob said
