any idea how you see info/apply for one of these and how much they cost?
dvla's website (from what i can find) only has information on how to drive over here if you're from abroad, not the other way round.
any help appreciated fellas.

What is the purpose of an IDP?
The categories you are entitled to drive will be marked on the IDP
according to the information you provided to us. An IDP is useful
therefore when hiring a car or if stopped by an official while abroad.
However, your full UK licence and your passport should still be carried with you at all times.
^^^^Thats from the second page
I just typed in international driving license application into google an got this about half way down the page
