Hi there need some info

Paid a company £400 on a credit card and £200 on visa electron debit card on the 24th march day before good Friday! So obviously wouldn’t clear ova that period due to bank hols n Easter! Rite bank told me money cleared on the 30th last thursday the company I’m dealing with is telling me money wont clear till this coming Friday which is the 8th april! Guy said it may have cleared from my card but it’s wont clear into their account as they use a company to authorise card payments (card net?) Not sure if he is pulling my leg or legit will know by Friday but am just asking did check em out before paying seem all legit…

Also can I claim it back if I don’t receive goods? Is a TSB credit card??
And also can the £200 be claimed back on debit card if need be!

Any info would be great thanks

Hope it makes sense lolol

Some credit cards have insurance on them, but I don't know if you have to pay extra for it

If it turns out to be a fraudulent transaction then you will get the money back off your credit card. I got my money back when PVD went bust cos I used my credit card. Doubt you will get it back on your debit card though

We use cardnet, and what he is saying sounds about right. The money normally clears the customers account within 1-2 working days, but doesn't arrive into the traders account till 5-10 working days later. Also refunds can take 10 working days.

They should have a float though to send out goods whilst money is in the clearing stages like we use, else it's just gonna annoy customers.

The money can be claimed back but it can take over two monthes to do so as proof needs to presented at both ends.
