Is there a website where you can check up the history of registered vehicles?
I had a feeling there was something posted on here ages ago several times, though i may have dreamt that

HPI? You have to pay for it - £40
Or RAC vehicle check - if you register you get to know how many owners & Last time it was registered for free!!!

Yeah that tells you if its been crashed or nicked or any money outstanding on it & is a guarantee if there wrong - depends how much the car is but an HPI is sound piece of mind if your spending all your hard earned on a car!

Colin money well spent for you tho wasnt it!
You almost bought that bent scoob!
One of the lads from works, brother in law has a honda civic. he went to trade it in at a dealer and the dealer looked at it and said it was full of filler. one check later . . it was written off at 4 months old!
He was hoping for about 2k for his civic he told him hes give him £100 not to part ex it

damaged repairables are not the end of the world people the number of cat c's i see that only have bent wings and cracked headlights is huge!
I also see a stack load of cars that are damaged and not recorded!!!!!
If its cheaper by a fair margin (which they should be as a rule of thumb) when compared to a apparently never damaged one then whats the fear?

yeh, but the only reason i know mines been in a crash coz headlamps dont match, got a newer radiator and the right hand side of the bonnet has got a bigger gap than the left hand side - The wing hasnt been fitted properly. Ive also spotted paint on the windows and abit on a cable under the bay. Shoddy repair job if you ask me.

thats the thing about damaged cars, if their being sold as damaged you know wot your getting its when people try to pass off damaged cars as straight cars that creates the grey area i suppose, in that situation if your unsure a HPI check would be a wise move especially if your spending a stack of cash.
