Mates 205 got written off and he got £475 for it. Said he could buy it back for £50. Haven't seen him for a few days to see if he bought it or not.

i got 3000 back from write off my current corsa....
cost me 200 quid to get in back and then a track rod and leg for about 25 quid..
then the test and it was roadworthy again...
hence the 2300 quids worth of bodywork to make it look like it was, im glad i wrote it off

Most places wont let you buy it back, i had no option with the red corsa as salvage companies are crying out for modified performance cars.
I got 6k for the car, as got receipts togethor totalling 6500,

I was told today by insurance that it depends whether the car is structually (sp) safe or not
so if its a cat D write off and can be repaired safely then u can buy it back
but just to say i wasnt asking whether u thought i could or not i was asking those who have for thier experiences
