who went?
i know these people were there
Me
M Sutton (he arrived with me)
Captain Rosco (came and spoke to us)
JR (saw him, but was scared to go over and talk to his crew)
OJC (strangely, i saw him in some bushes, near hinwick hall, wierd)
Chump (drove past, stared at my car, and still drove past)
Just Novas
and a few more cars that i recognised, but dunno who's they are
it was good, nice to meet Rosco, and put faces to everyone elses names
I didnt run (i was worried i might kill my car)
what sort of times did everyone else get?

i was half asleep to be honest mate....didn't even see you. Met JR's crew though and chatted for nearly an hour while we waited for them to clear up the bits of engine over the start line
My best time was 15.01 - had so much difficulty getting the power down....spin in 1st....spin in 2nd.....
Reckon I can get it lower with better tyres.....current one's aren't even branded
Race 1
Me vs Honda Integra Type R......LOST......my first run - hadn't been up the strip in an FWD car before...was revving up to 6000rpm at take off...big mistake.... ....and stuffed 3rd
Race 2
Me vs Golf Gti.....WON.....easily
Race 3
Me vs Leon Cupra R....WON easily
Race 4
Me vs Nissan Skyline R33......LOST....but only by .2 second
Race 5
Me vs Nissan Pulsar gti-R.....LOST....again only just (thought I'd beat him to but the slip says otherwise.....
The best bit of the day for me was sitting in the queue and seeing all the people laughing at my 'boggo' corsa with black scooby vent....then seeing there faces after I'd run....

@ OJC
Alrite Rob !
Good have met you and M Sutton,
I was bombing through the pit lane with Chris C, when at the last moment I finally saw Corsas with CS stickers.
So I thought I would stop and see if the group of blokes standing next to them were the owners
Sorry I didn't hang around long enough for a real chat. It’s just a shame it was busy, other wise we all could have joined up for a better meet.

Race 3
Me vs Leon Cupra R....WON easily
[Edited on 20-03-2005 by Chump]
easily? which race were u watchin? (i was catchin u up a fair bit once i got traction!)
iv got a video of our race by the way! and u can see me spinnin thru 3rd gear u had no traction problems at all in comperision to me!
my excuses lol... it was my first run up in my LCR... had absolutely wank start, today was the first time iv tried to launch my LCR (which iv only done 1900 miles in since new!)
my quickest time in the end was 15.2 @ 93mph. tho i recon i could crack the 14s with sum practice AND TRACTION!!!
on seatcupra.net most ppl with standard LCRs get 14.5s to 15.5s... so as said with a bit more practice...
its hard to get the power down with over 200bhp at ur front wheels!
tho once my car is rollin its a completey different story
lol, rant over

Yes, I saw a Italiajet scooter go up the strip, looked quite standard the cylinder was'nt very big so could'nt have been more than 100cc and it got 13.3 at 93 mph
Love it, I want one.

Just goes to show, that just because it says Turbo on the back, doesn't nescessarilly mean it's fast up the strip. There was an R32 at Stratford this weekend Just managing high 14's, a 350z doing 14.5s.
Then you had your Mk2 sleeper Astra on TB's pulling 13.9's consistently, and a Nova Saloon also naturally aspirated doing consistent 14.7's.
