mmmm jap build quality against a corsa. not contest really.
civic, faster (dependant on engine), looks better, better body work ect. and it has a honda badge on it compared to a vaux one

I had my corsa from nearly new, never went wrong once.
Honda build quality Fuck me the way people go on about them as if they are fucking mercs or bmws its just a japaneese equivillent to a ford/vauxhall. They are less reliable than you think, bits fall off on japaneese cars too. Honda have a good record. But then all cars have problems no matter who you buy them from.
Go with which one YOU prefer. Drive both. get insurance quotes for both, remember to check MPG and cost per mile.
At the end of the day you will be driving it. not people on this board. Make your own descisions

I would go with a Corsa, the 1.4 Civic's are fat and slow and alot to insure for what they are, also expensive to buy... Compared to the SRi. I drove the EK 1.5 VTEC and it was so slow, my 1.4 Sport feels much quicker. If your gonna get a civic go for a VTi nothing less imo
