had your car (mainly the Escudo Pikes peak or Toyota ts020 Race car) off the clock where the Digi speedo only reads 999 on Gran Turismo 3???
My Max speed was : 4901.6km/h
it was in the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak version running 8187bhp 
used the Xploder disc for the BHP multiplier (dont really need it but more fun) then took all downforce to 0 on the front and set to max on the rear set the Gear ratio to max and lengthened the Final gears the car takes off on the straights 
Got my PS2 starting up again and Gt3 was in so was mucking around but the bloody disc drawer wont open so still gettin a new PS2 on friday

there's a glitch you can get out of the track somehow and drive forever going faster and faser - i seem to remember

most games have that...
that only works on tracks doesnt actually work on the test track or the top speed would have been alot more
