i've got everything working bar this, how do i do it? do i need an additional sensor somewhere? got c16xe?

A sensor goes into the sump. If your sump doesn't have a place for the sensor already, you can normally get a replacement sump plug with the sensor built in.
I just made all this up, so who knows if I'm right or not

AFAIK your right. I had a digidash in my old nova sri, I just replaced the sensor with a GTE/GSi one and connected the wire. On the nova, the wire was there, just taped up in the loom.
