Think they done about 12yrs each???
I think if theres enough evidence presented in the trial then they should be given a lethal injection or something!!!
Theres no real threat for wrong doers in this country.....I bet if something like that was in place most would think again before committing crimes.

Nope.
Some offences carry a manditory life sentence, ie murder etc, which means they are on licence for life. That means if they commit any offence, however small, they'll go straight back to prison.
A judge never says 'i give you a life sentence' - its always 'life imprisonment'
Ive took someone to court who got life with an 8 year sentence and ive took someone to court who got life with a 20 year sentence.
As i said some offences carry a maditory life, but it's the judge who decides the tariff, ie how long they'll serve before eligible for release.

Also, with a life sentence the prisoner has to serve the full amount before being eligible for release.
Where as with a normal sentence if you get 0-4 years you serve half and if you get 4+ years you serve 2/3. Lifers serve the full amount.
Did you know lifers automatically qualify to have a pet budgie

they should take a page out of americas book life sentence its the best way or lethal injection to get this scum off our lad whats the point off chucking them in a prison for that long they get older and do it again

Criminals go into prison, learn new tricks and come out better criminals.
Most of the prisoners that come to my court have tv's, playstations etc. Most have mobile phones too (these arent allowed but prisoners always find a way)
