To RICHARD - aka Corsa_SI_16V... i travelled from inverness to just outside perth to buy a Corsa GSI shell as a home for the new engine... Had a good day taking the old GSI engine out and getting the banter with him.... His dads a top bloke and came out with a brew and choccie penguins for us when finished.... Towed it back to inverness ready to be started on monday.... With no heaters in the corsa she was mighty cold on the feet

All in all a sunday afternoon well spent

You forgot to mention your new 'breaker bar'

I can't believe I was near giving up, then when you got here you had the engine on the deck within half an hour! You sure know your stuff!

LOL, the breaker bar... thats right... If the driveshaft nut is a struggle to come off... and you dont have a breaker bar... IMPROVISE.... I used the centre section from the GSI.... The nut turned no bothers after that.. LOL
