i've a dimage e201.
i suspect the a1 is much highere up the range, but the 201 is pants.
takes ok pics, but the menu is shite, has no memory, and the batteries don't last 5mins if you use the lcd.

I have the z2 and my dad has the z3, never had a problem, take great pictues and movies, and the batteries last ages. The zoom on the z2 is quite noisey, which is annoying when doing videos, but its okay on the z3 so they probably sorted it.
