insurance is up for renewal and have just put a 1600 in my car. Going to change the v5 document
will need to put in engine number but will i need to change the weight 
also gonna change it from my dads name to mine when im at it. thers a bit that says "how to tell us of an incorrect/change of name or address"
can i just put my name and date of birth in or do i need to fill it all in as a new owner 
please help

I shouldn't think you'd have to change the weight of the vehicle but you'l have to register yourself as a new owner..

also if you change it from your dads name to your name, your putting another owner onto the car, which might effect the value when selling

isnt worth anything anyway, only has one previous owner just now. shouldnt think it would make much difference on a car this age ?

I think it always helps regardless of age of car..
But the new V5 document will show your father as the previous owner so future buyers can see that the car has been kept within the same household so in that respect it shouldnt make any difference.
