I only thought it was a water leak until the other day when i had it diagnosed as a head gasket, wouldn't have sold it privately knowing that but didn't mind trading it in as the bloke showed me the screen which said how much t would be going on there forcourt for
Its only got 54K on it, but not sure if the cambelt has been done, so a search on the vauxhall database is being done and if not im gonna have it done straight away.
Can't drive it till tuesday tho cos of tax, so annoying

The astra is rapid, not sure if its quicker than the Accord type R that i had but it deff shifts
Think its 197BHP and the 0-60 is 6.7 seconds

Does need some new centre caps on the wheels one is missing. And yeh i earn £45 per week, but i have bought all my cars and this is the first one that i have used any of my student loan for. Had to get it quick as the BMW was about to break and would have been looking at a £1500+ repair bill!
Nice car!!! £45 a week? how do you afford these cars on £45 a week! I spent about £70 just on a night out last night alone! and going out several times a week, plus car maitenance, insurance and other things my money is going down - not up.

Ive never been sure of the Astra Coupe as theres conflicting figures everywhere...
00 - 197bhp 152mph 0-60 7sec
01 888/02 Linea Rossa 189bhp 152mph 0-60 7.0sec
03 Turbo Edition 187bhp 152mph 0-60 7.0sec
Why the differant power figures???

Vauxhall Astra Coupe 2.2i
4/1998 145/5800 150/4000 8.2 135
Vauxhall Astra Coupe 888
4/1998 187/5400 184/5300 6.9 153
Vauxhall Astra Coupe Turbo
4/1998 187/5400 184/5300 6.7 153
2.2 only makes 145 bhp! Thats pretty poor.

Would have loved another Accord as that was such a complete car, but there were none forsale locally in garages so was limited with choice

My head gasket only cost £350 to replace all inclusive. I'm glad I own a 4 cylinder Vauxhall!

For only 145bhp they drive very well. Pulls nicely in every gear
