im looking at some focal components - Access 165A
ive bin told theyre pretty good, better than pioneer, kenwood etc
i can get them for £100 brand new at my local dealer
is this a good price? will they fit straight into the speaker adapters i already have?

there good for £100 yeah! 60W RMS, presume there going to be amped? If so make sure you don't overload them!
as for price i couldn't seem to find anywhere that had a price online for them! - so not sure if 100 is the best price for them you could find!
Size wise they are 2 way components so come with tweeter, woofer & the crossover!
depends what speakers were in the adapter plate, and would need to know sizes although my initial thought is that they would not fit into the adapter place you already have!

right well your amp runs 4x50w continuous so that will be fine power wise!
erm the adapter plates i am pretty sure will not be suitable, you will probs need something custom made up for them, as obviously you have the tweeter and woofer to fit into the door!
hope that helps and anyone correct me about the amp power as i may be wrong!

Your gonna have to do some work, i found that the focal tweeters are too big to fit in the place where they put the factory ones.
Do you use electric mirrors or not?

You could always mount the tweeters in the dash somewhere.

there fair size tweeters the focal ones yeah, but the sound is worth it.
I think the access mid units will fit in the door with autoleads adaptors so you 'should' be ok.
And the amp will be ok, ideally u want an amp that can deliver a fair bit more power RMS than the speakers are rated t, i.e. my 80 w RMS front comps are given 200w RMs a channel and they love it.

Would the windows go all the way down with these in or would they need door builds to give enough clearance? What 2 channel amp would you recommend to power them? Bearing in mind the speakers are only £140 dont want to spend more than £200 tops on an amp!
