i m undecided and need some other peoples views and opinions.

the car is a mk1 golf and going to be seriously light weight.

so what do people think?

Also looking to tune it to as close to 200bhp and cost is also a factor but not too much of one.

yes carbs. junk the ECU and electronic control for carbs. best move.

Setup around £60 an hour on the rollers, budget for half a day.

Look for them on ebay - doesn't have to be Webers, but most people stick to them.
