They've knocked £15-£20 off the price of most quality boots, bindings and boards that ive found so far.

Cheapest ive found Burton Moto boots so far was £92 - this place had em for £75 and i got Burton Freestyle bindings for £59 (normally £79)

So i got both the boots and bindings

Also whats Tam like, I've only ridden the two Xscapes but I've got a free pass for Tam that needs using up.

Ive got an Empire Custom - not mega but it does the trick - will looking at getting a better board later on in the year maybe.

Tamworths pretty good - ive heard Milton Keynes is just a straight run but its longer than snowdome - Tamworth has a 90 degree kink at the top section which mixes it up a bit.. I think its pretty good though.

Sheffield Dry Slope uses a new material and is supposed to be really good - half pipes there and kickers and rails.

Might be worth a look.

Both Xscapes are just straight runs, only real difference is MK has steel columns down the middle whereas Cas is clear. From what I've been told the snow at Tam had been getting a bit shonky recently with big ice patches, may have sorted it by now though.

Sheffield is knackered now, they have put in plans to make it a massive indoor snow slope with different graded runs and even a proper chairlift so no money is being spent, all the Snowflex is getting fairly badly worn and is full of screws and stuff. halifax is the best dryslope around at the mo, nothing like as big as Sheffield but it has a decent kicker and quaterpipe and the Snowflex is in really good nick.

There are patches of ice at Tamworth - ive been caught out a couple of times on them - where the material on the roof is condensing and water droplets are forming palm sized lumps of ice - can be avoided but when you see them at the last minute your board goes froom under you.

Its needs to be colder in there - the most used parts of the run dop become a bit icy too but its not so much a problem as the water from the roofing material.

Ice is nasty, I took a harsh fall off the kicker at Cas on Friday, as it had been used for two days there was next to no powder on the landing so if you got it wrong you just caught an edge, got huge knees now!

I think Tams problem is the snow they use is designed to stay frozen at higher temps, this allows water to get onto the slope then freeze into ice. They did say a lot of the problem was how busy they had been though and were trying to sort it.

I'll see if I can find the SSV plans, it's not definate yet but if it goes ahead it'll be miles better than Tam and Xscape.

They do go on at least 4-5 times a day at Tamworth though and re-lay the snow by collecting it and then scattering it back down again but yeah, it has been busy. I think its due for a makeover - theres always one travelator out of use.

Its definitly not cold in Tamworth - i know its physical but theres people wearing T-shirts in there.

Can you stay on your board to use the travelator?

Seems a decent idea, Cas's Pomas are forever stopping because people are always falling off em and even then they run really slow.

Someone has nicked all the diagrams! Dunno whats happened there, you can see in the text where they should be!

Yeah you can stay on your board to use the travelator - although its better to one foot it.

Mmmmm 300m slope instead of Tamworths 170m

I rang to confirm my order today and they had ran out of bindings but im getting the boots by wednesday.

I ordered Ride LX bindings instead - got em for £95 delivered which isnt bad at all really.
