Little confussed !

OK, I understand you get a maximum amount that you want to spend in 1 day.. Obviously the more you spend on this the more your site will be advertised....

BUT i don't get the CPC (Cost per click) does anyone else ??

Why have a high cpc and get less on your adverts showing ?

High CPC to complete with other people using the same words. You bid an amount with the aim of being higher than other people.

So why not have your cost per click really low so when someone clicks it, it dont charge you much ?

When someone does a search, the sites who have paid are displayed on the right hand side.

The people who pay more CPC are higher up that list than the people who have paid less.

I think that's what Ian was saying anyway, and it makes sense

because then you are listed further down.. the higher u bid.. the higher ur listed.

If there are 4 places on the left for your advert to be placed but there are 5 people listed with that keyword someone won't make it onto the screen - the person with the lowest CPC.
