the long 14/15 digit number in the middle is the card number then theres the account number, sort code, expiry date and start date, issue number and on the back signature strip there are some numbers you sometimes need the last 3 digits from there

He aint making a payment, he's getting money paid into his bank, they don't need to know his card details just where to put the money (which is what a standard sort and account code are for, then the name just incase)

If they're paying you, just sort code and account number.

THIS IS THE DEFINITIVE ANSWER.......

Sort Code (e.g 40-42-24)
Account No. (8 digits long. If your is only seven put a 0 at the start to make it 8)
Account Name (probs your name)
Possibly Bank name but unlikely
