ok i'v just been pulled by the police and issued with a vehicle defect form for having this bonnet fitted

reason it stops the headlights and therefore must be removed and replaced. has any1 had this trouble before or have i just got the worst cop ever?

have 2 put it back 2 standard or get vauxhall to provide me with a letter that says its road legal

any1 any ideas?

What a bunch of wankers like!

Never heard of anyone being pulled for this reason but its a valid reason at the end of the day, if you got your old bonnet stick it on then wait a week or 2 and put this back on after it has been dealed with!

good luck mate!

hmmmm..... i would have though a mot pass would be worth than a pass by vauxhall!!!!!!!

i can understand that it may have an effect on the amount of light shining from the headlight.... but if the mot man says its ok, then cops r giving u a hard time

cant be arsed to read it.. just take yer ticket down the local mot station and ask em to check your headlight alignment, if the dipped beam pattern is not affected by the bonnet then they cant do a thing.

tbh i cant see it affecting the beam pattern at all
