how do they make money on it?

only thing i can think of is through advertising

plus if it did Yahoo AIM would be the one then.

I just got this pasted to me...

Set your msn status to busy as msn are thinking of shutting messenger down, by setting your status to busy you are protesting against it shutting down. Copy and paste this and send it to everyone

Yeah, a couple of others on the forum hgot that, but this thread was started weeks ago about it closin down on the MS boards lol

they make money through advertising and using emails for various product signing up's .etc it also attracts hits to there websites which have advertising and pop ups...
